Fire Safety Training
Ezra Safety Group provides bespoke Fire Training which is tailored to meet your individual needs.
Our Fire Trainers have extensive experience of delivering Fire Training to a varied audience and know how to convey key messages clearly in a way which is easy to understand.
Upon completion, participants in Fire Training courses will have a better understanding and awareness of Fire Safety, how to reduce the likelihood of a fire in the workplace or at home and what to do in the event of a fire.
Fire Training is tailored to meet your needs but can include:
- Role of the Fire Warden with the Use of Extinguishers
- Fire Safety in a Care Setting, including Progressive Horizontal Evacuation Training
- Use of Evacuation Equipment – e.g. Evacuation Chairs and Ski Pads
- Fire Safety Awareness – recognising and minimising risk
- Use of Fire Extinguishers
- Fire Risk Assessment
- Permit to Work procedures – supporting you to ensure external contractors on your premises are complying with fire safety regulations
Fire Training at your venue can include Live Fire Training using our LPG Fire Simulator (subject to your site having a suitable safe space).
Our Fire Training is reviewed regularly in light of feedback and changing industry requirements so you can be assured it conforms with the most up to date legislation and is delivered in an engaging and informative way.
What does our Fire Training look like?
In our Role of the Fire Warden Training, we will look at the procedures that should form a simple part of each person’s daily routine to promote a safer worker environment in relation to fire. This will help Fire Training participants to have a greater awareness and understanding of the threat posed by a fire, their personal responsibilities in preventing an outbreak of fire where they work and appreciate the need for effective fire emergency procedures.
In our Use of Fire Extinguishers Training, we look at the different types of fire extinguishers available, the different classes of fire and how to correctly select and operate a fire extinguisher. The Fire Training includes videos on the use of fire extinguishers to support the content of the presentation. This section will conclude with practical use of extinguishers; an opportunity to set off some fire extinguishers outside in a suitable location. If your premises is suitable, we will set up Live Fire Training so you can practice using your extinguisher to put out a live fire.
Our Evacuation Chair/Ski Pad Training is bespoke to your site and your equipment. It starts with a group discussion of the equipment at your site and site-specific fire emergency procedures. The correct use of evacuation equipment will be demonstrated to delegates and all participants will have the opportunity to practise safe use of the Evacuation Chair/Ski Pad used at their site.
Our bespoke Progressive Horizontal Evacuation Training begins by examining the Progressive Horizontal Evacuation procedure in place for your building. Using site specific slides of your building, we will display and discuss how the procedure works specifically for your site. The training presentation will include videos to help confirm the correct action in the event of a fire.. The training will be classroom based and will conclude with a practical Progressive Horizontal Evacuation drill exercise. The drill will follow the site-specific fire emergency procedures for your building, including a mock exercise of a fire alarm zone to be investigated and the movement of our manikin “Manny” from bedrooms in that zone to the next safe area as required in the progressive horizontal evacuation procedure. The drill will be observed and a short report providing feedback and opportunities for improvement will follow. The duration of the evacuation to the next safe area will also be recorded.
